Quick Question: Diode on a light bulb (BTTF)? Light Out?

I have 3 different bulbs around my back to the future that are out and after changing the light bulb it seems that the bulb is fine...

I don't think it is a bad socket....

I tested continuity of the diodes on the two lights next to it and they test fine
(These are working lights, and they are on the same circuit)

Soooo.... I think i have some dead diodes on a few lights....
Is it one size fits all when it comes to light diodes for 555 bulbs?

I was going to shoot to Fry's Electronics later and see what I could find... Suggestions??

Usually it's not the diodes on the lamp sockets. The problem is likely bad driver transistors on the gameboard or possibly bad connectors.

Even if other lights work on the same line?

Meaning that....
a brown wire connects all the negative side of three lights
a white wire connects all the positive side of three lights

2 of the three work fine.... Still a wiring / Plug issue??

Thats why i was shooting for diode because the two lights that do work i get continuity with my multimeter when touching the diodes however i DO NOT with the light that doesnt light up.....

Hello!

KenLayton may be right. On my BTTF the DELOREAN lights were not functioning correctly and my tech initially thought it might be the diodes. Yet it turned out to be a bad driver on the PCB. Once that, and a leaky capacitor, were fixed the lights worked!

Always...
