Anyone had problems with their Quick & Crash losing the brightness of the gun as the game progresses?
The unit uses a xenon bulb via a fibre optic cable to shoot the target. It's kinda like a camera flash.
My theory is that the cap that charges and fires the bulb is going bad and can't handle the repeated recycling to fire.
Anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?

Quick & Crash

Had a similar problem with one of my Quick & Crash games. The gun light strength was variable; sometimes OK, sometimes dim. Found the fiber optic cable was broken where the gun cable did the most flexing. To repair, I removed the brass end form the fiber optic at the end that snaps into the zenon light box and pulled the fiber optic cable out. I used two layers of shrink tube to hold the broken optic cable together, and in line, so the light signal would be transmitted. Has worked great for two years on location at a FEC. Now I am having trouble finding replacement target sensors!

Cool! Thanks for the follow-up!
I replaced the capacitor for the flasher tube/bulb in hope that was the problem and it stopped working all together!
When I get a chance, I'll have to check the fibre cable.

Thanks for your post, I recently got 2 games(1 is missing parts). The good one worked, but would not register shots most of the time. I read your post, and found that it too had a broken fiber optic. I pulled the whole gun assembly from the other game and installed in working game. Now game works great. Thanks for the post, it saved me lots of time/frustration.
