Questions about Jawhn's 'new' Aliens game

I did get the new ISO from Bob, and wired it in, so no more smoking, but didn't make the monitor in the Aliens cab work. So who knows.

I will test this thing tomorrow at some point. Hopefully, the free monitor works, but I seriously doubt it. (But free to find out!) And either way, I plan on cap-kitting and re-HOTing and re-flybacking the K7000 in the Aliens game at some point. It'd just be cool if I didn't have to to get the game working, ya know?

I just wasn't sure if testing an unknown monitor could harm the rest of the game, or anything, mostly. Thanks guys.

I haven't been to Frys yet. Hopefully this weekend. I think you told me that my soldering gun might work good for the flyback, though...?

Well... Today (With some of Arcadenut's phone tech support help, thanks again, Brien!) I switched out the monitor in my Aliens game with a monitor that was being thrown away by a local guy. And to my surprise, the thing actually works!!! So I'm really stoked about that!

So... $12 ISO transformer from Bob, and a different/free monitor, and my $50 Aliens game is complete. Now I just need to pretty it up a little bit.

Oh, the image on the monitor is reversed left/right... I'm sure this has to be an easy fix. Is it just a matter of reversing the ac wires to the monitor, or something else? Thanks in advance, I ain't gonna mess with it until I know how to fix it.

Monitor 'squeals' a little bit, too. How normal is that?

Mirrored. And Krajkerjack/Joe has already guided me through the fix.

Thanks for the help! It was an easy fix, just flipping the Red/Blue Molex plug on the chassis. Woohoo, I now have a fully working JAMMA game! Finally! For cheap, no less.

Now I just gotta pretty her up, which I know how to do.
