I have a Ms. Pac Man/Galaga repro cabinet (it's all repro parts, but exact replica, Ms. Pac on one side, Galaga on the other, Ms. Pac Marquee, Galaga CPO, HUO spotless (recently upgraded from the 3 in 1 board it came with for a 60 in 1) that has recently had something go wrong with the monitor (AKA it plays blind :| ). I'll try to fix it, but I had been considering trading it for an original Ms Pac anyway. My question is, would it be a reasonable request (on Craigslist, classifieds, OR Klov) to see if anyone was interested in trading a non-water damaged, faded to hell Ms Pac original ms pac with a fuzzy monitor that runs somewhat for my arguably beautiful HUO blind playing Frankenstein, would that be cheating myself, or considered assholish and asking for too much? I paid 3000 for the demon back in 2001 before I found the hobby and the world of affordable arcade games, but I really just want to be fair here and I'm not sure if this would be a good deal for anyone or not. It's probably cheating someone to expect them to do it, so don't get mad at me for asking, if it's out of line I'll just recap and be done with it. But if it's worth something still (or ever was) then it'd be a good trade. I just really don't know what to think on the value, so just honestly tell me what you think. Thanks guys.

I want to say that should probably be "worth" around $800 fully working, give or take. Maybe not to someone here, but to a non-KLOVer who does not care about it being original from the 80s. The problem you're going to have is finding someone to trade a non-working game to for a working game that has the ability to fix your machine. Also, non-working games usually go for bottom dollar. If it were I, I would fix the current machine, sell it for what I could get and turn around and buy the Pac (if that is really the route you want to go). I would guess that route you might end up with the Ms. Pac and some cash in your pocket.

I think it's totally reasonable, and although I'm not a fan of non-original games, I'll say your game is probably more valuable than a faded, original game in average condition. I'd guess a faded, average Ms Pac is selling for what, $400 these days? 8 yrs ago, you could get over $1000 for one, but prices have fallen. Those prices/value - I mean, what someone is willing to pay for it. Your game should be an easy/cheap fix for someone good at fixing monitors. Good luck.

I agree with savit4l8r.. If you are SURE that it's the monitor and sure it's not just a loose connector somewhere, and have the ability to pull the monitor chassis.. See who, on here, fixes monitors and will repair the monitor chassis for you, then sell it working.

Okay, thanks for your advice guys... if it really is that easy to fix the monitor, I'll just keep it in its current condition, I didn't realize it would be worth anything much at all. I'll give it a look and try to fix it, maybe install a new joystick and keep it. Thanks again for being so swift and helpful!
