Question on Spyhunter settings:

OK, now somebody needs to map out exactly what the difficulty setting does.

I assume it controls the countdown timer? Perhaps it controls the score you must get for an extra car before it runs down?

Does it actually make the enemies more aggressive or just monkey with initial settings?

I don't know that I've ever heard this discussed before.

Demogo...my brother, you owe it to yourself to find one and experience SH in its intended glory! The sound absolutely cranks in the cockpit...I can hardly wait to get mine back from being shopped.. It's been sitting at vintage arcade superstore awaiting restoration since Last April! Rich at TOG is close to finishing the cockpit sideart and floorplate... Once those are in hand, I'll be pressuring Gene to get my restoration finished! That's the only hold up now. Gotta bunch of nos parts from Mylstar including a plastic seat and new steering yoke. Also have an uncracked plastic steering column cover. When I get SH back I will post some pix. I sure hope its before summer hits :(

I'm envious -- I've never seen or played in a cockpit version before.

Just called the local place with the SH cockpit but they are of course closed today. :(

I was playing my UR the other day and wondering what the sound was like in a cockpit and noticed that at 6'2", my head is really well above the "line of fire" from the downward facing speakers. I'm sure the audio is terrific when the speakers are lined up with your head and there are 4 of them with 4 channels going!

I think the difficulty tones down the games aggressiveness - less villians, game feels more like a drive in the park.

As for the speakers on the cockpit - that is what makes the cockpit worth it. I am 6'1 - the speakers are right on my ears. Sounds fantastic, really immersive.

And of course, nothing beats sitting down while playing a game for once. I also get to use the seat as a bench when i am working on something in the 'cade.
