I am working on some Williams 4 thru 7 sound boards and have cap kits the Great Plains Electronics. In the kit , there are 10 caps, and all I can find on the sound board are the following: 25, 26, 27, 19, 12, 14, 15, 30, 36. All the kits have 10 caps, I just cannot find the 10th spot on the sound board. Maybe a mistake.???

I've been working on a Pharaoh that has scratchy auido on the speech board. Is this likely a cap kit, or audio taper pot? Never dealt with having to do a cap kit on a speech board.

Only one electrolytic on the actual speech board. First thing I always check on these however is that it's grounded properly. You really need to use all the mounting screws and have them down firmly, or you start getting scratchy sound.

I'm sure not all of the screws are there. It's not my pin, just one I am taking care of for someone, so I only see it once in a while, and I'd like to try and have everything I need on hand. I'll get some extra screws and order the audio taper and hopefully that will take care of it.

Thanks again Hans,

I, As well have learned you must do this . I buy a box of 100 6-32 thread screws and away I go.
