i have always hooked up through the player 2 controls
i have a bunch of golden tee trackball harness now ,and can't seem to figure out how to get the connectors on the 60 in 1 board to work
it gives the correct voltage plus 5 and ground but no movement on the test screen
i used the happ red board trackballs and they work fine with the 2 player hardwired on it

any suggestions?
i have sold a ton of these and feel pretty silly asking:)

thanks Nick

so did you get the tiny molex connector that hooks up to the board?

If so, confirm that it's on the proper player assuming the board has the 2 trackball connection.

I have a mini test connector out in the truck. if you give me an hour, I'll get ya a pic of how the wiring should be...

yep the same connector that plugs on to the gt boards

Here's how the wiring should be to the Molex that plugs into the trackball connectors on the 60-in-1 board. CON3 is for Player 1 and CON4 is for Player 2:

I have a mini harness that I use on the bench. Used in a cabinet, the wires would normally be about 4 feet long...

if it's 1 joystick and trackball which port should it be in
the cable i have is the same

thanks
Nick

CON3.

Look at the picture of the connectors in the manual, then rotate your board so that the connectors on the board are labeled and numbered in the same orientation as in the manual, then make sure the ground and +5 wires are to the proper pins.

I've had some new Imperial trackballs not work even with the proper trackball boards, while other new Imperials worked just fine with the same 60-in-1 board. No idea what the difference was...

is there any other settings to change
i'm not getting anything

thanks

Nope. it might be the trackball. you can try hooking it up the player 2 wiring for the same trackball and board. if it IS the trackball, it won't work that way, either. if it does work that way, then it seems you may have an issue with that connecter being recognized...

hooked up through the 2 player controls ,worked great

not sure what i'm doing wrong ,i have built 20 of them and have the same problem everytime
not a big deal though,it takes me a couple minutes to hardwire them

thanks Nick

do you have the wires on backwards? (no disrespect or offense intended obviously)

is there any chance the board doesn't recognize the trackball(some type of issue)

pretty wierd, the voltages are correct 5,ground ,no movement at all, hardwired it
works fine
not a big deal, but it would save me 10 minutes just to plug and play

Did you check to see if you were getting +5 at the trackball itself? If you had continuity from the board to the trackball, then something had to be wrong with the board...

thats what i thought too,but 10 straight boards seems strange, they all worked hardwiring the 2player controls to it

i have never seen the xy's on the test screen
i have tried with both a's and b's

Hmm. I've only ever had one problem, and it turned out to be the trackball...

Hey quick question. What size is the Pin Connector on the trackball harness that plugs into the board?

Is it a 06-Pin 2.54mm(.100) Molex Housing? Just wanted to confirm.

trackball torubles 60 in 1

Im having the exact same problem, i have one of nixs's 60 in 1 boards and have no luck with connecting them to the conn3 or conn4 on the board.. They also have the new red optic boards as well. settings are right , wiring is right and the connections are all correct and ring out between the board and the trackball. also the +5 and ground are correct.. this is going in a 2 player cocktail with 2 joysticks and 2 trackballs. any ideas? thanks

Kris

also is it possible to hook up 4 controls,2 joysticks and 2 trackballs?
