Question: Magenta cross hatch test patterns needed?

When I converged my Amp for my Star Wars, the test pattern generator in the game contained a magenta grid which was necessary for the convergence procedure.

I'm about to do a G07... (I know its not a vector)... the convergence procedure in the manual also calls out the magenta cross hatch to adjust the red and blue convergence, however the pattern generator I have (GME MT830A) does not generate the magenta grid????

I assume you monitor gurus use a pattern generator? How have you dealt with this?

Thanks

If you can do a white grid, just disconnect the green input. That will leave only blue and red - aka magenta....

Well derrrrrr... that makes to much common sense ;)

I made the color inputs switchable on some of my extension cables just for convergence / purity adjustments. On vectors, there's no way to tell what color a grid *should* be when adjust purity until you've got everything dialed in, and nothing sucks more than getting a monitor converged perfectly only ti find out red is now green, green is now blue, and blue is now red =-P
