funny, I was talking to Dan (p1899m) a few nights back wondering why nobody has reproduced this yet. Seeing as they seem to have a $100 value for an original.

If a guy could get one for $50 I think the seller would do well. (if it makes economic sense at that price)

i just got a berzerk, and i have an empty frenzy cab, so i think it would be a good choice.

I'm sure they would sell but how many is the question. The other thing is obviously price. Still waiting to find another Frenzy, love that game.

I anxiously await your design solution to this thing. I attempted it and then bailed. To run the berzerk's again would require at least another 35 pre-orders. I can't imagine that many people still want them.

I would be REALLY interested if you could provide an economical stick that mimicked the Berzerk bat but worked in a Happ perfect 360 base.

I bought the Happ Perfect 360 for mine, but still haven't gotten to the project. I know it was talked about using the 360 base and a repro joystick, as the original base was a poor design.

Are you contemplating reproducing the whole thing or a retrofit of sorts?

The happ 360 and wico bases used a similar size/diameter shaft, no? That was the main problem I had. Physics. A thin shaft into the joystick base supporting a huge BAT stick top would eventually bend due to the force exerted. I had a mech. engr. on this very site do the math for me based on my fab drawings. I dropped it due to this issue. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a good repro stick and I hope you can pull it off.

I'll think about the panels again. Maybe.

This is the only way to go. I love my HAPP Perfect 360. It's an opto stick, which is what the original was, but this one actually works. No need to try and redo the crappy design of the original. Fab a bat stick to replace the generic plastic handle in the 360 base and you're golden.

Could you have a thicker shaft that's reduced on a lathe for the portion that fits into the base?

The wicos and happs that would work have narrow diameter shafts, I think 3/8". The original bat uses a coarse threaded rod about 5/8" thick. Putting the original size bat on a narrow shaft that is half the length creates potential problems.
