Has anyone ever seen any articles done on the "Galaxy" Arcade in Newark, DE? I believe it became "Champions" around 1990. I'd love to see any pics and info on it if anything existed.

There was a "The Galaxy" arcade featured in the "Arcade America" section of Electronic Games but that one was in Hawaii.

Bummer, thanks Ivan- it's been a hard one to find info on. I think I'll need to make a trip to the local library to find info.

Was it at a local mall or free standing? If it was at a mall I suggest callling the managment office and seeing if they have any old mall photos that may contain a picture. The library is a good try too or perhaps you could find the owner or family of the owner for some pictures. I suggest pretending to be some sort of reporter (for the KLOV perhaps) to give you a bit more clout.

it was in what is called the christiana mall here. I actually called the mall for info last summer and told them i was doing a review for it on my own website. They said they did not keep info on stores etc from that far back. :-(

You'll need to get more info on who owned it then I'd bet you can find some old pics. Go to your local library (main branch) and a librarian can point you in the right direction as to how to track it down. Than contact the family as I'd bet they have some old pictures they would be willing to share. At this point I think it is you best option.
