Question for those who have/had TMNT 2 for Playchoice

I just bought a PC10 TMNT 2 and thought it was peculiar that the '2' was hand written on the label. But the TMNT2 shown on the PAR website has the similar hand written 2 (at least it looks hand written to me) http://playchoice.riemen.net/images/gameboards/G-00_TMNT_2.jpg

I can't seem to find more pictures of this board so I was Just wondering if the 2 had ever been printed or do all of them have the written 2? Maybe there was confusion since TMNT2 was released as TMNT in Japan?

I have no idea what the writing below is supposed to be. Also appears this was a repurposed Ninja Gaiden II board since I can see the label underneath under the right light.

I have one that don't have the hand written 2. But it only has typed tmnt. My guess is that they used the cart for the first one and never had new ones say 2 on it. Or typo error.

Hope this helps

Wow, I didn't expect so many posts. Thanks guys :)

I kind of like the quirks of the Playchoice carts so it's cool to hear there's some without a 2 at all. I've got a Balloon Fight with an upside down label, not to mention a few like my TMNT2 that are labelled over. I was hoping to see a Ninja Gaiden III label underneath, but looks like NG3 uses a different label. Maybe next time haha

Tmnt2

Lol, that's actually my old game, the TIT means "turtles in time". The reason I wrote it was so the buyer didn't think I sent him the wrong game and give me bad feedback.

I figured the arcade operator or possibly the factory wrote that cryptic message but not another member! lol I learned a lot more in this thread than I thought I would.

In all seriousness, I hope the buyer knew you were going to write that on their game before you sent it to them. The game is indeed TMNT2 and not turtles in time and people don't generally want their PC10 labels updated like that. Mystery is solved through :D

I'm involved in a trade right now for this game, and the other guy just sent me pics of the board. The sticker is in a different place than all the other pics I could find online. Here is a link:

It seems to work just fine, but I want to make sure it is 100% legit Playchoice game, and not a copy in any way.

I could've sworn mine was a printed 2 and not hand written, but it has been a while since I've laid eyes on it. I'm surprised to see so many with hand written 2s. Guess its common.

What about the one that I posted pictures of. Has anyone seen one like this? The sticker isn't in the same spot as all the other ones posted.

For you TMNT 2 owners, how close does this compare to the Actual Arcade version ? I have a TMNT board (2 player) in one of my arcade cabs, and and empty slot in my pc10.

Is it worth considering getting a PC10 board and flipping the PCB ? Are they really close, or is the NES version have a lot of compromises ?
