Question for Punch-Out / Super Punch-Out owners

If you remove the shield cover (filter board) and connect the harness directly to the boardset, does your right coin slot still work?

The right coin slot on my machine won't work without the shield cover in place, though the left slot works fine, and the games play normally other than that. Does anyone have any idea why that is?

Hmm... if nobody else checks first, I'll check mine tonight... I don't have a filter board on mine at all. I've always been using the service button to coin it up though.
