I have two questions concerning the Regulator/Audio II and Regulator/Audio III PCBs in the pics.

First, can anyone tell me what game or games the one on the right is used with?

Second, I believe the one on the left is for Arabian/Fast Freddie/Kangaroo. Can it be modified to be used with a different Atari game?

Thanks

For the ARII, this is the most comprehensive list I know of:
http://www.elektronforge.com/AudioRegs.htm

For the ARIII, I know it's a System 1 board, but don't know if it works w/ all Sys 1 games or not. Looking at some Sys1 schematics on the web may show you its part number for various games and help narrow that down.

ARIII is system II only.

ARIII is system II only.

If that's true, I'm sorry. I thought that Sys1 used ARIII (Marble Madness, Indiana Jones, etc.) since the predecessor games used ARII.

EDIT: Googled the part number on the other game, and it does seem to be a Sys2 board if Eldorado Games is to be believed:

Thanks for reminding me. I'll obviously have to keep this for my Atari System I/Indiana Jones PCBs.

The other one which I believe is used with Arabian, Fast Freddie, and Kangaroo is of no use to me. I actually have three of them, which is why I was asking if they could be modified for use with a different Atari game.

Thanks.

Are you sure it's an ARIII?

When I Googled the part number, it seemed to indicate it was for a System 2 board.

Maybe they both use that board... dunno.

I don't know, but I would think that you could just use the parts list and schematics to make the ARII usable in a Star Wars or Tempest.

The part number is A043046. The pic below shows where is says "REGULATOR/AUDIO III".

Didn't see that in the prior photo-- could only read the part number -- but as I said before, maybe it's a valid part for both System 1 and System 2 games, and checking out some schematics for each may be able to determine if it's compatible with both.

The most relevant thing I could find indicated Sys2, but I can't rule out Sys1 at all because it would make sense with the nomenclature of the board.
