So I went on a service call to install a puck bowler in a basement. Customer bought it from a regular arcade seller that people all know. While I was there I started taking it apart to get it in the basement and this is what I found.
On first inspection he did install leds
However he installed the cheapest flickering leds
Checked the translight
Completely stained from cigarette smoke
Checked the boards
They did put In an nvram
Looked to have done some work on the power driver board but forgot to clean them
Looked to the inside
It was covered in mouse poop and pee
It was never cleaned
Checked lane
All the rubber on the sides and front is dry and cracked
Checked the bolts
All the bolts were cross threaded
Replaced bolts and washers
Rethreaded holes
Cabined outside was broken and covered in scratches
Cabinet had to be painted to cover it up and repair crack
The rear interconnect board covered in covered in poop
Here are pics
I'm not calling them out I'm just saying that too many of these guys use the words restored and charge like they are doing something and it's out of hand. I'm not perfect but I do try and I can't stand this crap. Thanks for my rant
