question about switching out monitor on punchout?

Hope I am putting this in the right place. And most of all I hope you will understand what I am talking about too. What, I am wanting to switch out the top monitor on my punchout game. I obtained another monitor it is a Sanyo 20 z2aw, I think its a sanyo.(as shown in picture 1) the same as the bottom monitor in game now. What I have a question on, Is in picture 2, what I have in red rectangle. What is it? Should I hook it up to that or hook it up on the monitor chassis (that I have circled in red), like how it is plugged into the Original monitor that came with game in picture 3. And can I do all this and will it work. Will I need to put anything else or can this be just a plug and play.

That is a color inverter board. if you were using this monitor in a non-Nintendo game, you would need that to invert the colors so they would display properly on this monitor.

Now, you can not use it, and just connect the video connector to the chassis like your other one, or you can move the connector there from the Invert Out to the Non-Invert Out, and then connect the video connector to the connector on the other end of that inverter board.....

Thank you for repling to my post. I didn't know that was. which is a color inverter board. Just wanted to make sure so I didn't mess up anything. And wasn't sure if I wanted to keep monitor if I couldn't use it..Thanks again. Will put it in when I get done with my first project.
