Does the Sente system sound board have to match up to the main PCB and game cart in anyway to work? Ive noticed that the sound pcb has what I guess is a rom(s) of some sort and I didnt know if each game requires a different chip in the sound board to work with the various Sente titles.

My sound is currently not working.

I think you only had to switch the plug in daughter card... and the control panel I suppose, if you actually wanted to play it.

Thats pretty much what I researched and thought as well but Ive always come to expect the unexpected at times.

I really havent even reseated or cleaned any of the chips on the sound board. I guess I need to do that as well as it might be worth a shot.

BTW, this is for a dedicated Snake Pit if that matters. This looks JUST(with side art) like that guys machine in europe.

It is the sister(brother?) machine to this one over in europe:

That machine and this one both came from the same closed down museum over in europe. That one is still in europe while this one was shipped to the USA.

I've got to believe it's just the ROM card and control panel which are meant to be changed, the whole purpose of the SAC-1 system was to make the cabs easy to convert, and while the ROM card is clearly designed for easy removal the sound board is not.

Snake pit

As far as the ones I have had all the sound boards are the same. Never had a Snake pit though. I have a tested, working sound board if you need it. Oh, Say hi to Brian for me.
