Just picket up a neo geo cabinet. The panel was screwed in with some metal tabs screwed into the sides of the cab.

Usually you unlock the cabinet with those buckles inside but there's no way to get to the panel from the coin door. Is this normal? Where do the control panel clamps go?

Ask and ye shalt receive:

BTW, what's a working 2 slot MVS unit worth?

I've got a single I'm installing.

That cabinet looks like it has been "hacked" (A conversion of another machine to a Neo Geo). Can you look in from the back side of the cabinet and up under the CP?

I see some working 2-slots on ebay now for $130.00 plus shipping (BIN). I just recently saw one sell on ebay for about $60.00 plus shipping.

The back's blank except for a tag that says "East Coast Design"

I originally thought it was a Dynamo due to the button placement, PCB shelf and overall CP design. After seeing that CP down, I have no idea what cab that is.

If it matters there's that giant panel on the back. It's held on with 6 screws. Maybe that's how to get into it. I'm still at a loss as to what it is but it's got an enormous monitor in it.

It looks like the "tray" that holds the upper half in was added post facto or was put in to replace something. I'm going to cut a hand hole and then add the panel locks to the sides on the inside so I can reach up and unlock.

Shame there's not a simple way to do it. Maybe a hole saw.
