I have a sanyo monitor. It has a red tint on one side of it. It looks like if you took a magnet to the monitor for a long time it would cause this. I was wondering if there is any way to fix it. Will post pics later. Have to find a camera to take pic.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like you need to degauss the monitor. I have used a solder gun in a pinch but a degaussing coil works best. Did you move the machine and then have the discoloration show up?

Thanks pseed.. I am sorry I did not get pics up sooner..but here they are. Can hardly see but look to the left middle of screen and you can see a red tint..

thanks in advance

Yep you need to degauss.

Google how to make your own degauss wand, or you can use a plug in power drill. The bigger the drill the better. Just run the drill right next to the screen and rotate in circles while pulling away.

thanks
