Question about monitor transistors and finding replacements
Hey Guys,
I've got a couple of these things I have to replace. I'm talking about the be big huge hunking metal transistors that are mounted either on the frames of the V2000, 6100 or the deflection PCB of an amplifone.
If I get a replacement transistor that is the same NPN or PNP I believe but the max values are way better, say replacing a current collectors of 10a with a 16a, will that work?
I'm tried of trying to find exact replacements for the 2n3716, or 2n3792, etc, etc, can I just use one that could handle more power and will probably run cooler?
Some please school me on this, I have about 4 amplifone delfection boards I need to rebuild.
Thanks
Grant
