I heard these rejuvenators are only able to use a couple of times and then they are no good. Is that true. Or was I misinformed about these things. And if I was misinformed, how many times can you use them before they no longer able to be used.

Thanks in advance

Other way around - a TUBE can only be rejuvenated so many times before you kill it. Rejuvenation shortens the life of the tubes guns. Think of it like putting 200 volts through your 110v light bulb for a few seconds. Sure, the bulb can take it, but not too often.

The rejuvenator doesn't have a lifespan, as far as I know.

Huh?

The rejuvenator can be used for as long as it still powers on..

What I think your referring to is how many times you can rejuvenate a tube.. From what I've read and heard, you can rejuvenate it a few times.. But each time you do it, your lessening the life of the tube.. Which is a good and bad thing.. If the tube needed a rejuve, then you've cleaned it up so it can be used.. Without it, then you prolly would toss the tube anyway..

Rejuvinating a tube is something you do as a last ditch effort.. I usually use a tube rejuve to test tubes and see if guns are toast, look for shorts, and see how much life is left in the tube.. Or that's what I do.. Heh

My rejuver has a cleaning function and a rejuve function. Cleaning is less intense and is done first. If a cleaning doesn't bring a gun back to life, then you rejuve it. In my experience, most tubes just need a cleaning.

Pfft. I've rejuvenated some tubes 5-6 times just to get the picture back nice and bright - and they were still going good 5+ years later. While it's possible to kill a tube that way, I've never had one go bad that wasn't bad already. Most times I see tubes killed by people who don't know how to use the rejuvenator.

BUT - you only use the rejuvenator on tubes that have issues. If it looked good, you wouldn't rejuvenate it. So - either have a bad tube until it dies, or rejuvenate it and hope for a good tube that will look better for a few more years and maybe never die...
