I have this cabinet that I am rewiring. They had some wires coming out of the
back side of the isolation transformer.
Can I assume that these point in the back where you can see the clump of wires can be used to wire the on/off switch and the marquee?

It appears that on the front side the power is going into the iso and the 2 wires coming out are for the monitor. The blue being the hot. Please let me know if someone doesn't think this statement is true.

thanks

What I see in the photo is:
Power cord to filter to transformer, thats the AC in(110v) side, and the other side of the transformer, has wires coming out at different points. Thats determining how much the AC is being turned down, like for a lights and monitor power. You should be able to wire a switch on the AC in side.

Yeah I have an ac distribution block that I was going to wire in, but I wanted to save it for another cab.

The same side that the AC is going in, it's coming out on the same side for the monitor.
The back side was used for other things.

That's my question, is it all the same voltages that can be used for marquee and on/off.

If I have to I will go to the trouble of wiring in the distribution block, but I don't want to if I don't have to.

Looking at pic #1
The bottom side is AC (In) coming from the line filter. The other set of wires are 1:1 AC (out). So, if you have 120vac in you will have 120vac out.

The wires on the top will be your step down voltages.

ok so in theory I could just solder some more wires off of the ac out (which is on bottom of the front side) and run them to the marquee light and an on off switch?

Not quite.

The on/off switch should be wired in right after the line filter, before it goes through the trans.

You can wire a marquee or what ever you want on the output wires.

I would put the marquee in line after the on/off switch.....at the 120VAC input line of the transformer works well. I would not put it on the 120VAC output side of the transformer. That should be used solely for the monitor.

I decided to rewire it and use a power distribution block I got from bob roberts. Much like he shows in his "how-to" pictures for making your own power brick.
