Not sure if I am putting in right place. I was wanting to have a backup isolated transformer for one of my games. The one in my cab in is the same as my backup, but the part number or serial number on the front are different. I figured if it had 0v and a 115v and a 125v and it is a 1amp that they would work fine. but I wanted to make sure the numbers on the front are part numbers or does it mean something else. If you want I can post pictures of the 2 later..

thanks

You want a backup? Is there something wrong with the current one? Isolation transformers don't go bad very often, so you might have your backup forever and never use it.

If you need to buy one, Bob Roberts sells one that will work just fine. No need to check to see if the number match. As long as it is a 1:1 transformer (120 in and 120 out), then it will work...

What he said. If you've got a good iso in the game, don't worry about a backup. What game is it? Those things rarely go bad. Is it running the power for the game, too, like a Ms. Pac?

The game is a turkey hunting game. with a 25" monitor in it. I didn't know they don't go out very often. Just want to have spare part for it. So if it goes out I will have a backup for it. I wanted to thank you guys for answering my questions too..

thanks again

Depending on the monitor in there, it might not need an isolation transformer. Monitors get changed out quite often, and it's not uncommon to see a newer style 25" installed that doesn't "need" the isolation, as it is built into the monitor. However, it makes no sense to rewire a cab to remove an isolation transformer that isn't hurting anything, so they are just left in.

Always check to see if the monitor you are using needs isolation before you try using it without....
