I looking to install a 60-1a board in my Ms Pac-Man for the simple fact that they're are still a couple of game machine I want to play (Donkey Kong, Galaga, Pacman, and Ms Pacman with speed chip). Anyway I don't really want to install any buttons on my machine so my question is this. Can you run the 1player or 2 player button as jump/fire button and as player 1/2 select? I would think this would be possible just by running lines to the switch but just want to be sure.
Thanks,
Kane

I think you could do this without a problem. The menu uses the start buttons to select the game and start the button on the icade 60 in 1. I think you'll have an issue configuring the setting though since I believe you have to use a combination of the start and action buttons to select and save your settings.

There's a Pac-Man cabinet adapter (from Lizardlick?) that'll convert your Pac/Ms Pac cabinet to JAMMA without hacking any of the wiring, and it includes jumpers on the board to enable button 1/2 to be hooked up to the start buttons without even running any extra wiring. Might be worth looking in to :)
Oh, after a little searching on the forums, here's a link to it...a bit pricey, but is pretty much plug and play (some Pac adapters require a separate power supply, this one doesn't):

It works...

CrazyKongFan is right. I actually just did this exact same thing (Lizardlick adapter & 60 in 1 board in my original Ms. Pac-Man cabinet). She was my very first machine. The Player 1 & 2 buttons *are* able to be set (via jumper on the board) to function as fire buttons as well. No wiring changes at all. Works and plays great! I like the 60 in 1 board. Sound could be better for some of the games, and is a bit too loud for a few of them, but the game play is largely very accurate. For the money this is a great way to go, especially if you are limited in space/resources. Some people get upset about altering these "classic" machines, but she is yours... do it, you'll be glad you did. And, you can always convert her back to the original PCB if you decide you want to later.
