question about if you can flip screen on these games

I was wanting to know something about a few games. I don't think they made cocktail games for these games. and you know how on some games you put monitor in wrong and game is upsidedown. and instead of turning monitor around you just change the dip switch setting on them to flip the screen. well that is what I was wanting to know, if you can do that on the older and newer golden tees, shuffle shot, silver strike bowling, and world class bowling.

thanks in advance

Not sure about those games, but you can install a yoke flip switch in your machine. My electrician friend came over and installed them in mine yesterday. Works great.

Can you post some pics of it? I've been thinking about doing it on my G07 and seeing one already done would probably help :)

ok. I don't know how to host or upload pix, but I can take some pix and email them to you. Just send me the email address to send to. The switches came out really nice.. much better than I expected. Its 2 switches (1 to flip the screen and 1 to reverse the mirror)

answer to questioin at top

I know there are dip switch setting on the gt 99, and 2000 I think the switch settings are sw 1 and number 2 & 3 off. shuffle shot dip switch is sw 1 and 3 off. newer golden tee and silver strike bowling, and world class bowling too will need the yoke switch that fatherpain mentioned.

hope this helps

want to thank everybody

thanks everybody for your comments.. they were helpful.

thanks again

I have a relay in my machine to do this

I got it from here,

David custom made these for this purpose.

It means the yoke wires do not need to be run to the front of the cabinet, and possible drop voltage and color etc.

It uses a single switch to swap the screen around

Great product

Edit: I use it in a multi Jamma cab, (Upright) as some games are back to front

There's a button under the submit/preview post buttons called "Manage Attachments". You can upload photos that way, directly from your computer. You'll probably need to shrink them down using some sort of graphics editor (MS Paint works just fine). I use it all the time to post pics here (or at other forums)

Bob Roberts had a write up desribing it but it didnt show how it would look physically. I had no idea what itd end up looking like, so it sat on my wishlist for several years. I described wanting a switch to invert the screen image because alot of games have different monitor orientations and he knew what to do immediately. Its actually 2 switches mounted on an aluminum bracket which is then riveted to the inside of the cab. One switch flips the image upside down and the 2nd reverses or mirrors the image so its correct. You need both. This mod was done on a nanao chassis for 3 candy cabs: 2 egret2's and an astrocity 2.

Basically he cut the 4 sync wires going from the chassis board to the monitor tube, and soldered and shrink tubed the switch assembly that he fabricated in between. There were 8 total connections. This is cool that people mentioned wanting to see it, because I have the assembly mounted in the astrocity completed and the egret2's still require mounting so I can easily show the switch assembly connections. Its something Ive been wanting on my cabs but never quite knew how to do it. Now that Ive see it, its fairly simple.

I have been asked for pics of the unit in my cab. I will get pics on the weekend, but for now here's an example of the unit.

Don't copy the wiring I need to check it

Nice, My Neo-29 only rotates one way... The problem is that most Console shumps only run the opposite way.

I used bullet type connectors, but then you have to do lots of testing every time you switch.

Is there a max voltage/wattage/amperage?

I have a 27" viewable

Ask David (the maker), he is an arcade nut also (like us) :)
