I have a Jamma wired cabinet which had a non-working mv1b. I removed the pcb and am attaching a laptop through a J-Pac.

I disconnected the power supply and connected the monitor (hantarex polo) directly to the ac mains (as nothing else needs power since it will be all going through the laptop. However this means that all the ground wires in the cabinet now lead to an inactive power supply which is not turned on (or even connected). Is this a problem? How can I solve it?

First of all thanks - I did not realise that the j-pac had 2 GROUND screw connectors!

Secondly - and excuse the stupid questions but Im new to this kind of thing and dont know much about electronics yet - do I have to connect all the ground wires (from monitor, cp, coin etc) to these 2 points on the jpac or do I have to attach an external groundwire from somewhere to the jpac? At the moment the cabinet is fully wired in jamma standard, with the ground wires terminating on the harness at A, B, 1 etc pinouts. (because as I see it the cabinet ground is already connected to the jpac through the jamma harness).
