I have a DK cabinet that I fully intend on restoring, just to get that out of the way. I also have other projects I am working on also, so my question is will a Nintendo Vs. control panel fit onto the Dk cabinet. I am asking because I want to use the cabinet as a mame Nintendo cabinet until I get around to buying the parts to restore it to a dedicated DK machine.

Thanks for any help given.

Keep in mind the Vs cp is metal and not wood.
You will have to move the cp latches to secure it.
I would just cut a new cp out of wood, their pretty straight forward and easy.
Unless you already have the Vs cp.

Thanks for the info, I didn't consider cutting a new one but that is a great idea, it is pretty strait forward and i could use the original CP hardware untill I redid the cabinet.

Are you sure? About needing to move the latches, that is. Reason I ask, is I converted my machine back to a DK from a VS, and I didn't need to move the latches when switching back to an original cp from the metal one.

It must work then. Now that I think about it,I think Nintendo used longer strikes on the metal cp's.

On my DK cabinet, you can use the Vs. CP or an original DK CP without any modifications to the latches. The Vs. control panel should work just fine. It makes sense because Nintendo would have wanted the swap to a Vs. system to be simple and easy.
