I am going to ask a dump question. Was wanting to know what size bulb goes in the coin mech return. Where it say 25 cents at.. I am attaching a picture with it. I just need to know what kind of bulbs it use and are they just standard bulbs. Oh one had 259 stamps on it and I took another one out and it had 555 on it. That is why I was asking this. and does it matter what way the bulbs gets setted in the holder. and same with wiring too it to.

thanks in advance

Direction doesn't matter. Just size/shape and power requirements.

If you need new ones Bob has them here:

259 bulb was the original that Midway used in most of their games during the mid to late 90's. 555 is a common replacement, due to the fact that it's very close to a 259 bulb, and any operator had a 555 on-hand, since they are the bulbs used in pinballs. 259 and 555 are virtually the same bulb, the only difference is the amperage, which translates to one being slightly brighter than the other. Direction doesn't matter, just pick up a couple at any auto parts store or order them online, and you should be good to go.

I looked at everything and the wiring. It looks to be right. But it keeps on going to service mode and won't go out after I leave it on for a couple of hours. I put the 555 bulbs in and it does it, but when I don't have any bulbs in, it seems to be fine. I checked voltages to power supply and to the light holders all seem to be fine. I even put in a 174 and it does it to. Just takes a little longer to go into service mode. I'm just baffled on this. Can't understand why it's doing this when everything seem to check out ok.

Thanks
