Question 4 everyone please reply

Bungy - I am considering making a 12 X 14 room in my garage for a game room. You mentioned that you have a room with the same dimensions. By any chance do you have some pictures you can post so I can get an idea of what a game room of this size is like?

Thanks!

Room Size

Mine is 7 X 14 = 98 sq ft, total of 7 games

Qbert; DK2; Sys1; Food Fight; Missle Command; Moon Patrol; Empty

The empty space will hopfully be filled soon with Robotron, just started the restoration process.

Had about 150 square feet when the games were in the study with a very large closet for parts. Just turned that into a nursery, so I have about 180 square feet in the formal living room for the games and part of the foyer (inside the curve of the stairs) for the pins. Part of the third garage spot is full of games.

Edit: plus a cocktail up by the pool table in the game room.

All these diagrams are making me want to quaff some potions, slay some kestrels and find the Amulet of Yendor.

My space would be called "the spot under the stairs" and "get that s#!t out of my dining room."

My finished game room area is approx. 11 x 12 with the small alcove. The laundry room behind our finished area is bigger (stupid builders). Down the road, I will open it all up to be approx. 26 x 11.

I also get half of a 2-car garage...

It's a little hard to get good pictures because it's so crowded, but there is enough room for each game to have one person standing at it. (Nevermind the unrestored Tron :))

The first picture was taken from the basement stairs and they progress as if you're walking into the room and turning clockwise. The only games you can't see are the Asteroids & Asteroids Deluxe left of the Jungle King and right of the Discs of Tron.

I really had to finagle with the layout to get all the games in and have a nice "flow". It never feels cramped even if you're in the Q*bert corner or the Tempest or Asteroids corners.

Right now I have an unfinished basement, about 1200 sq. ft., about 1/2 of it occupied with arcade games and an air hockey table.

My plan is to fniish it (if I can stop buying games that is) and have about half of that space for a game room/bar.
