Quest for the Holy Grail

Great score, congrats! Now everyone wants to know... how much? Usually collectors like that want top dollar.. but we'll believe it was all for $500 just so the story is even better :)

What did you do? Threaten the seller with the Holy Hand Grenade (TM)???

That SW cabinet looks really nice. Congrats! So, 19" WG or 25" Amp still in it? Does it still have the red HV? Working? Controller feel sloppy? Details...

I see cleaning supplies on the driveway. Was that pin really that clean when you picked it up? Looks like it was hardly ever played - and the topper looks perfect as well. Where is the PC-10? How much for all?

Pinball was a few hundred below book. I figured in the condition it was in, he wasnt going to budge much. The fact that it still had the topper, and original manual in mint condition made it was a good buy. Has a few minor issues but will be a easy fix.

SW Cocktail isnt working totally dead. I did get a good deal on it, but is was included in a bulk board buy. I got a original ESB board, a few SW Sound Boards , ROTJ board. and some Midway boards. I looked at the midway boards when I got home, and they are Journey boards look like they are possible NOS. also got a nice Journey Bezel. It was a good day.

Do like I'm planning on doing - build a 25" Amp.. not as good as original in a ways, but use Amp deflection and HV boards, a 25" tube, and a WG6100 yoke. I don't look forward to converging it. Winter project for me..

Interesting do you have a thread on this??

So happy to hear you got the ESB Dan: :)

Nice haul

Thanks bro:) Just looked at the ESB board its complete, but has 3 broken pins on the expansion board not a big deal. Looks like I got a complete Journey Board set including cassette interface pcb. That was a bonus I didnt even know about:cool:

I think i saw that pin on CL... or ebay... or somewhere. I want to say he was asking $1,500... can't remember 100%. Nice score.

Thanks Frizz it was a good day. Yea the pinball was on CL and Ebay for $1600, but I didnt see those ads. I was searching for arcades, and emailed him about a PC10 he had. Then we started talking about his other games. He was collecting heavy in Ca in the 90's, said he had around 50 machines including a EDOT. He shipped them all to Florida when he moved there. Then he moved to Boise and said he sold off about half of them in Florida before he moved. Then he moved to Wa and got seperated from his wife. His Ex had all of his games, he just got them back from her. He is selling them off only has 3 left, he is moving out of state away from her now:eek:

The pinball was clean when I picked it up, The Cockpit was dirty, he had planned on cleaning up the Cockpit and listing it next week. Im going to put new rubber in the pinball tomorrow he gave me a kit, and really want to put LEDs in it. Anyone know a good source for LEDs?. The kit on ebay for this machine is over $200. The PC10 had really nice sideart. The front looked pretty beat, CPO was Beat. I ran out of money by that point LOL, I was focused on these 2, and the box of boards. I am going back to pick up a non working ROTJ upright. I have a working ROTJ cockpit that I had planned on converting to SW, but now I think I will sell it and restore the dedicated upright. Still on the fence with that. Yes the Topper is Mint.:)

Im down to 2 pinball machines now. Centuar is leaving tomorrow. So this one will go next to my Star Trek 25th. I think they will look good together. Should have it in place tomorrow night. I will post pics of them side by side :)

I have been looking for this Star Wars pin for about 3 years. I had a shot at a few in town. They had worn playfields and are still out on location. The operator wanted $2500 for one of those. Im glad I waited.

We worked on the Star Wars Pinball yesterday. It had multiple issues. some of the solenoids were not firing. Blown fuse on the PS board and 4 bad fuse holders. None of the backglass lights were working and some of the general illumination lights on the top of playfield were out. Fried connector on the PS board. replaced those things. Now I have 100% working lights and solenoids:) Have a few minor things left to do, but its playable , and sooo awesome.
