I'm working on deconverting a Quartet. It was converted to Punk Shot, and that kit came with 8-way leaf switch Wicos:

As you can see, the operator drilled holes for carriage bolt mounting.. But Quartet originally had flush-mounted Seimetsu sticks. Fortunately the threaded holes for the original sticks were still there under the panel:

The Wico bases from the conversion are in great shape, so I decided to reuse them in a flush mounted configuration. So I designed and 3D printed some adapter brackets for the Wicos:

Those are #10-24 machine screws attaching the brackets to the Wico, and M4s attaching the assembly to the control panel.

Most Quartets I saw in the wild either had black or red balltops, but the Japanese flyer does show a version with color coded balltops (my target here):

I've also seen red and black joysticks in Quartets. However, all of the black joysticks I've seen where not original. The Japanese Quartet flyer shows different artwork compared to all the Quartets I've seen and pictured below. Notice all red joysticks except for the black, replacement sticks.

Such a great game.

Yeah I've spotted many original quartet cabinets with red Happ Spring Action joysticks.
