I'm trying to get some of these running on my test bench and I'm having trouble getting some of these Qix boards to boot and I'm pretty sure it is a reset line issue. I've been using Tim at Arcadecollecting.com's reset circuit (uses a 1K Resistor, 10uf cap and 1n1418 diode). Seems like most time I have to flip the game on and off real quick to get it to boot.

I can never get it consistently to boot using this reset circuit.

Any thoughts? Is there a better fake reset line circuit to make? I'm using a gold style power supply with the 9 pin molex connectors on it.)

Thanks,
Anthony

If it's only for the test-bench, allow your powersupply to stabilize then assert/release reset manually with a pushbutton switch. I don't have a schematic nearby so I don't know if reset is active-high or active-low on this game.
