Can anyone clarify that the top picture is a ROMset PCB for Qix? I wanted to compare what is currently in my cab from what was in it originally. I'm thinking this is what is left that's causing my game not to boot.. I'm getting video from another Mainboard PCB, can anyone compare theirs to the photos?

Here's a pic of it when Allen had the original PCB set in it running:

Mine was obviously different from the one described in the Qix 'Theory of Operation'.

According to that, you are most assuredly missing U3:

----------------------
3.4.2 ROM'S

Eight ROM locations are provided for the Data Processor, U12 - U19. These are selected by U21. Eight ROM'S, U3 - U10 selected by U2 are dedicated to the Video Processor.

Yes, your first and last pics are the same config ROM chips as in my QQ chiped QIX....in other words, you are not missing any ROMS.

The roms in the Qix romset I got at Rom-World seem to concur with the above statement.

Have you tested the roms?

There are a couple rom sets, one of them leaves U3, U25 & U26 empty. It may be possible that those sockets are used on zookeeper but not qix. Although im pretty sure I had a qix rom board that these were populated on.
