Qix Restoration - Update - Now Complete!

I have a Qix machine that was converted to a jamma Hammerin' Harry. The monitor has been switched to a horizontal position and I am having a hard time figuring out how I am going to switch it back and think I am missing one piece of metal that I will need for the top to mount too.

Is there any chance that somebody could take a picture of how the monitor is mounted in their machine.

I would also be interested in buyin either a monitor bezel or if the bezel is on the glass than new monitor glass. Also a CPO if buying from the same person so I can save on shipping costs.

Thanks

If your setup is complete, rotating the monitor should be really simple. See the diagram below. The metal piece that goes around the monitor (part #17) allows you to align the monitor either vertical or horizontal. Just a matter of removing some screws and rotating the whole unit.

Thanks - That is what I was afraid of. As it sits horizontally now the top piece of that 4 sided frame is missing. It isn't necessary on the horizontal mount but would be in a vertical mounting position. I will probably have to rig something.

The hardest part about Qix is the damn boardsets are a PITA and always have issues. I have tried several boardsets in my Qix cocktail..all are broken or have issues.

Thanks for everyone's help in this thread and a few others. I am finally done this project. I would have loved to replaced the monitor and put a real Qix boardset in it but it is now operating as a covert 60-1.

Mamemarquees/Gameongrafix. It is not identical to the one in the Taito flyer but I like it better than the Willis one. On this one you need to decide to either have the QIX name bent in the middle on the front to have the buttons/joy and 1 2 player close to where they are supposed to be. But if you choose that option, the buttons weren't perfect nor the 1 / 2 player. The way I did it, you can't really tell that it is off unless you grew up playing this game so it is IMO the best way. The colors and quality of the CPO are great though. They make the bezel (from vectorlib) look dull and crappy in comparison.
