replaced the battery and i still can't get past the memory failure screen...removed the jumped waited 5 mins, put it back and still get memory failure...what am i missing?

There is a jumper cap next to the battery, check the pins for corrosion. I install lithiums on these and always replace that jumper block. Its only needed to clear the memory without taking the battery out.

just got done doing that....grabbed another pin from another board, scrapped off the corrosion, checked for continuity from the - to the first pin and from the 2nd pin to ground and everything is good...still memory failure.

I think they use a couple 5514 rams for the memory backup. Perhaps one of those is bad.
I have a board around here, let me take a look at it.

swapped with no luck...i have a feeling there is more corrosion damage than i know of.....going to have to find a corrosion free vid board..
