So I was playing my 60 in 1 last night and I fired up a game of Qix, one of my favorites. After a couple of games I was doing great and I cleared the first screen with 94% of the screen captured. So that got me thinking, "I wonder what the highest percent anyone has ever got?" I can't imagine it being much higher that 94%.

Has anyone here topped that? Care to try? Let me know.

I haven't, but I've been hearing about people clearing it with 98% for a couple of decades.

94% sounds pretty damn good to me, though!

I've done around 97% or so from time to time. It takes a bit of luck and it's dangerous, but it can be done. It usually costs me a life to get that high though.

The trick is to build small areas that the Qix can go into, then try to block it in until you can close it off completely. There are probably videos on YouTube that show how to do this.

Qix is ok, I get board with it very fast.. Prob only actully spent a few dollars playing it back in the golden age...

I am so on the fence with QIX right now. It's a LOT repititive but I enjoy the occasional challenge. I am torn right now, I can't decide which game to get rid of to make room for Gyruss and right now I am leaning towards QIX. :(

Personally I would take Gyruss over Qix in a New York minute...:D

I'm gonna hijack a little.. if anyone wants to sell a nice bezel and ship it, shoot me a PM.

I've collected parts, except for the bezel, to do a new cabinet build. Even have the stencils, just need more time and a lot of MDF to cut up!

Absolutely love Qix on my 60-in-1, and I think I play it more than any other game...

With that said, I still SUCK at video games. Soooooooo much better at fixing them. :D

I'm exactly the same. Except I suck at fixing them, too.

Qix is one of my favs & would love a dedicated one someday...I remember playing it a bunch as a kid & loving it because it was just such a different type of game, unlike anything else I played.

I put it up there with Tempest & Tetris as games that really broke the mold in the arcade.
