Well, I just finished rebuilding the power supply for my Qbert and I plugged it in. I knew I only needed to plug in connectors P1 and P2 so I could adjust the +5V before connecting P3 and P4. Without thinking I went ahead and connected all the plugs and turned the machine on.
Needless to say, my +5V must have been cranked way up. The A8-J8 connector on the filter board sparked and I immediately cut power to the game.
When I plug the power supply in now (with just P1 and P2 connected -- not P3 and P4) I don't get no +5V or +30V reading and the LEDs is not lit.
Really screwed this one up... I'm a novice at reading schematics to interpret exactly what I need to check on the +5V and the +30V traces.
I'm wondering (hoping) someone has seen this before and can tell me the best place to start with checking components?
