I've seen some threads bypassing this horrible filter board. i want to get rid of mine to eliminate a possible problem area. What have you guys done to bypass it and reconnect the wires? use new connectors? hack job with electrical tape? quick connects?

my qbert ran fine for about the first 6 months....not anymore.

Cut off the connectors, solder the wires together and heatshrink them. Why put connectors back in there, kinda the same thing as having the filter board in there.

Please don't use electrical tape. It makes my hands sticky when I have to take it off and re-do it right after I buy the game.

haha i wasn't going to, although i'll bet people have done it.

solder and heatshrink seems like the right idea.
