Qbert cabinet converted to Ajax game. Upstate New York.

Here is my Konami Ajax.

The cabinet was originally a Qbert.

This cabinet would be a PERFECT candidate for the JROK Multi Gottlieb board.

It has already been converted to Jamma.

The cabinet has NO moisture issues and is in awesome shape. Whatever paint they used when they did the conversion saved it in my opinion.

The top coin door is unlocked but the bottom door as well as the back door is not and I don't have the keys.

I can hear quarters in the coin box.

The game is currently not powering up. It was working but the power switch is sticking and since the back door is locked I can't get into the cabinet.

These cabinets in nice shape are becoming harder to find and more in demand with the new JROK Multi Gottlieb board available.

Drill out the locks and grab the quarters. Sell the Ajax pcb and marquee and get to work on building a Multi Qbert machine. :D

Looking for $300. :)

Hows the monitor look?

Wow weird... this must have been a common conversion. I have a Q-Bert that was converted to Ajax as well. Someone gutted the monitor and coin door, but the board was still in it. I tried it out and it appeared to fire up alright. The cabinet was painted black with some cheap paint that was easily stripped. Sadly, whomever painted over the Q-Bert must have removed the side art first, because there was only yellow paint underneath. Yours is in better shape than mine, that's for sure.
