This was talked about in another thread briefly, so I didn't know if anybody else saw it.

Was this game a proto or something? It's basically void of any info on here....
Did anybody ever run across one of these?

Looks like the Roms are in MAME. The term prototype is all over the place. Not sure if that means it was only a proto, or just that MAME only has the proto roms.

Does the vectormame emulate it? If so, at least it could be played through the ZVG.

Yes, and it's actually pretty fun, or at least I think so. It doesn't use a trackball, though. It uses two joysticks, one to fire and other to move, like Robotron or Black Widow. And the screen doesn't look quite like the flyer:

You try to clear all the faces of the cube, which rotates to another face when you move to an edge of the face you're on. It's certainly playable but the sound, which is pretty minimal, to say the least, makes me think maybe it wasn't ever quite finished. Have no idea if any actual games were made.

You can just play it in regular mame, of course, but for some reason part of the playfield is always cut off on a "regular" monitor (just like in the maws screenshot) but it all shows up on my ZVG system. I don't think anyone's going to get a vectormame setup just to see the whole screen in QB-3, but it is another reason to get one, I guess...

Hot diggety dog!
Cool game, neat concept as well. But yeah, the sound is annoying. Thinking they were still working on that one.
