What is the price range for a Q*Bert? A local OP has one he's willing to sell but his price is too far north for me... I just want to know if I am off base or if he's smokin' crack...

Op wants $1000/firm... it doesn't sound like he's one to haggle though I was considering throwing out a counter offer depending on condition. The problem is that he's an hour away from me and I am guessing he's not too keen on sending photos.

He does say it works. I REALLY want a Q*bert... but not THAT much.

I'd say about $500 for a fully working, original (unrestored) in ok cosmetic condition. More if really nice or restored. Less if not working , issues ect.

How much does the guy want?

Keep in mind that even a working qbert from an op may need some parts replaced if you want it to stay working.

What is the person's asking price?

I haven't seen much talk about Q*bert value here at KLOV. Go with your gut instinct. I would say $400-$600 depending on condition.

Paid 300 for mine non working in February 10 min after getting it home had it working good shape not great shape will restore when I get around to it

+1 No shit dude.

Buying it is worth $50
Selling it it's worth $1000

C'mon Frizzle fo shizzle my nizzle ...... have you not learned by now that this board is loaded with unrealistic people? I agree $1000 is stupid money unless it's HUO and mint shape.
$300 - $500 is a fairly common range around here. But every area is different.
I have a local OP that tried selling me an unknown working state Q*bert for $600 and it was in pretty rough shape. I said, "Hell no dude that things is shit" and walked away. He didn't know what to say.

I actually posted my original post without this line seconds before frizz's post. Then I edited and added this line. By the time I was done editing Frizz's post with the price was up. I saw it but wasn't in the mood to edit again.

I'd love a Q*bert... but it's about an hour away and the OP didn't seem too thrilled about taking photos. If he'd do $500 I'd make the trip to take a look at least... but he's "firm".

I for one would not waste the guys time asking for him to send pics unless you really want the game and have the cash. If he is already firm on the price and you dont want to pay for it, then move on.
Ive got to the point in asking people that contact me about a game i have for sale, if they have the funds and are ready to buy if they ask for more pics. If they say not yet, i tell them to contact me when they have the funds. It takes time doing all that shit!

I did a pretty damn good restoration with new everything, rebuilt everything.

Sold it to my buddy for $800

The other one I had that worked perfectly and was in pretty good shape I sold to a member here for $325
