Q*Bert sound board with Mad Planets EPROM: what am I missing?

I have a working Q*Bert sound board with a 2732 EPROM.

Burned a Mad Planets EPROM (appended MAME snd1 & snd2 files) and all I get is static. I verified the EPROM after burning. This should work, right? I did stick the Q*Bert EPROM back into the audio board and did get the "Hello, I'm turned on" when I powered on but no other sounds.

The only thing I can think of is the sound files need to be swapped (append snd2 & snd1).

I guess I should add that I am running these with a JAMMA adapter, in case that makes a difference. Thanks!

Mad Planets & Qbert use different soundboards. They are populated differently and may not work right. QB also uses 2716 eproms, so the jumpers may not also be set right if you had a 2732 in there.

I have used mad planets sound roms on a qbert sound board before and it works fine. Its really weird having those MP sounds on a qbert.
Your running the amp off 12v? That might be part of your problem. That amp usually runs at 30v. It runs fine at 24 but who knows if it would work with 12v. The datasheet says 10-35v operating range on the LM379S.
Dunno. If you want to bring it by one day we can fire it up on my bench rig. My rig runs all original hardware.
