Q*Bert Restoration (Picture Heavy)

Here is the cabinet after several coats of primer (sanding every coat - then priming again).

The sides were then masked off and the inner black areas were prepped for paint.

My dad painted the black areas (I prefer to have him shoot my restores as he is more familiar with the paint guns that he uses).

Lower overlay decal applied and marquee light area was reassembled.
Then all black areas were masked off and the sides were prepped for paint.

Once again my dad stepped in to shoot the sides of the cabinet. The painting was captured by Wisconsin Public Television for an upcoming story about my arcade collection.

A total of 6 applications were used to cover the yellow sides.

Then the cabinet was once again left to dry. Masking was then removed.

Beautiful job. It looks amazing! Thanks for all the pics of the process.

Nice job on that. It looks great.

I'm jealous of your raised letter Gottlieb coin door.

Did you sand between coats of the final color?
