I finally finished a very lengthy Q*bert restoration and moved it into the game room. Started out with a donor that I picked up locally.

new cab from Brett
NOS CPO and lower decal
repro side art
repro bezel
new monitor
rebuilt power supply
repaired board with multi kit installed
new speaker
new marquee light
new t-molding
LED coin door lights
cleaned and repaired hacked wiring harness
new stainless hardware throughout

Wico coin door with raised Gottlieb logo will be refinished when it's warm enough to blast and paint. Also, I would love to find a NOS joystick. PM me if you have one to sell or trade.

Here's the finished product before it got wheeled into the game room:

that looks really good. i'd like to see the coin door once you finish it. it looks pretty cool with the raised letters. kinda neat to see a coin door a particular manufacturer bothered to personalize.

Very, very nice job - looks better than new!

couple questions...
Where did you find the repro bezel?
Where did you find leds that work in the coin lights? cool idea!

Thx
Tom

It'll be refinished in the spring. I'll post an update when done.

I think I got the bezel from mikesarcade.

I'm all about LEDs in my coin doors and illuminated buttons. No more overheated incandescent lamps. They're dirt cheap and should last forever. I'm lucky enough to live 10 minutes away from pinballlife so I buy them from Terry. They're a little brighter than regular lamps so I use red ones in coin doors with red buttons, orange in orange, etc. Blue ones look wicked cool with Robotron buttons.

Hans... that is very, very nice. I am on the same path and I only hope mine looks 92% as good as yours does when I am finished with it.
