I've got a Q-Bert I'm in the process of restoring,

The game clearly has been worked on. Someone put a new power supply, rebuilt the old one, new caps on every board. New monitor. And new marquee light.

But the game is dead, when I got it the 30V fuse was blown on the original supply, I noticed C33 on the sound board was damaged and burned, this is a cap near the Audio amp. The amp is also missing its heat sink. I replaced C33 still getting no sound so I'm wondering if the amp is just dead.

The original power supply all of the LEDs are there voltage wise. Tested ok. However the new power supply installed, all is good exept for -5V which is reading as -3.7V, I'm wondering if this is why the game won't do anything? No video. Nothing.

I am also missing the service panel assembly, where can I find one? If not I'll have to make my own.

Whoa...slow down. :)

Post some more pictures and don't take them so up close. Let's see some pictures further back of the whole inside so we can see what is hooked up and where.

Apologies. Sending the rest of the photos here.

If anything else is needed. Please let me know, thanks.

Reach out to @apswann for a reproduction power supply and test panel

So, my opinion will probably be unpopular but here goes:

Replace that linear power supply with a switcher.

I run original power supplies in all of my games except Qbert. I wouldn't normally recommend a switcher but for this specific game I would.

There is just something fundamentally flawed about these specific power supplies.

I must have rebuilt mine like 3 times and never got it working. Wasted hours of time and money.

Finally just said "forget it" and threw in a switcher…game instantly started working and I never looked back.
