I ran a search for this here and the information stops about a year ago.
Are these still being made?
Are they reliable?
Are they legal or is it the same story as with the Two-Bit Pacman kits from back in the day?

Also need to know what they go for and where to get them.

Thanks,
Ted

I dont think they are being made anymore...

I have 2 or 3 that I am looking to sell.

I don't think so.

Yes.

No.

The reason they are not being made is probably due more to high cost and low demand. I have one and I like it.
If memory serves, I think it was $175

Wow! there we have the reason they didn't sell.....$175. Jeez.

I can't see it being worth that much.

1st off, they did sell. Just wasn't enough demand to make 100's of them as there are only so many people with a qbert out there. IMO it's easily worth that much. Multi kits aren't cheap to make. Hell it wasn't too long ago that the Japanese made 60 in 1 boards cost $300. These are basically hand assembled by folks who are in this hobby like you or me and dedicated there free time to making these awesome kits for the community. Do they make a profit? I imagine they do but to be honest I doubt it's all that lucrative.

actually now you brought this up, that reminds me.
If Mike reads this, what ever became of a new revision of a few roms for this? There was a few things that were buggy and discussed in a previous thread. I thought I remembered a revision being discussed.

I would be interested in one of these kits as well.

You are next on the list. Had several queries, you are #3.

I have 2 different kits.

1 was made by Clay Cowgill. it has three games on it. More info can be found here: http://multigame.com/qbert.html It is new (I got it directly from Clay). It will be guaranteed tested and working. Looking for $125 shipped in the lower 48.

the other is the Mike Doyle 6-in-1. It has 6 games on it (as I recall). It has 6 games on it, the three above, plus Insector, Curveball, Mello Yello Qbert. More info can be found here: http://www.widel.com/stuff/multiqb.htm. It is used, but will be guaranteed tested and working. Looking for $150 shipped in the lower 48.

Sounds like great Prices to me. If I had a Qbert I would be all over one of these.

Jrok's Multi Mylstar Board

Jrok's is making a JAMMA pcb that will be all the vertical Mylstar/Gottlieb games in one like his Multi-WMS. I am sure the price point for that will be around the same as the WMS one. This is going to be the way to go in the future imo.

Agree IF the sound is 100%.

I'd keep my Qbert original until the sound board shits the bed again and then STOP, JAMMA TIME!

Good question. I would love my Cubes high scores to save. This was going to be corrected in a rom update but I haven't heard anything else about it.

Also, no knocker in 7-11. There was one other thing, what was it, hmmm...

No Cocktail mode in QQ in the Widel version either. I do not think they have the ability to add this though. Jrok did the code for Clays original Multi-QB kit which supports CT mode in QQ so I am sure his new Multi will also support it.
