Q*Bert marathon

I stopped in after the gym this am and George was fresh as a daisy. It will be interesting to see if mainstream media picks up this story

More likely the game malfunctioned.

I haven't played mine a whole lot since it's still not 100% but I can't imagine ever being that good. Amazing.

How the fuck does someone "accidentally" unplug a machine in the middle of marathon attempt? I feel sick for him. So awful. Thats some BS.

i am sorry, but i think it is hilarious, poor planning. if your going to go to such great lengths to have a marathon, take some damn precautions.

I was at Richie's last night and witnessed it all.
If you go back into the archives, somewhere in George's first few hours, Richie notices that George threw his backpack on top of the games power cord. The game was securely plugged into a wall outlet, but how many times has a bunch of people trying to help, accidentally tripped over the cord, and unplugged something? We all cautioned that no one should be behind the velvet ropes (literally, Richie has velvet ropes)..
The problem IMHO was that the arcade was open for business as usual and was packed. Two parties going on at once, Flashback Fridays was in the Fifties attendance wise, and Richie was home sleeping off Thursday's all nighter.

I have been MIA for a few years on business, but upon returning to my favorite family hangout, I discovered something amazing. The little arcade store that had forty or so minty games, that for four hours a week, we were able to play for a measly ten bucks was no longer there. What was in it's place was a fucking gaming Mecca. Six employees, all with smiles from ear to ear, two locations within seconds walking distance of one another, and over 100 classics gleaming with pride. Pissed I missed The Kong Off event, but the energy in this place during George's QBert's marathon was amazing. So proud to be a part of greatness. Ed may have unplugged the qbert, but tomorrow is another day.

From what I gather, tonight on Richie's webshow, George will be fielding questions from the likes of Warren Davis (QBerts designer)
Robert Mruczek, Rick Carter, John McAllister, Bill Carlton, Chasing Ghosts stars Leo Daniels and Joel West as well as many big name gamers in and around the arcade. I heard a rumor that Ben Falls is going for a Moon Patrol run during tonight's bachelor party.

16.86 million.

Ed, an employee, went to unplug a couple of noisey games and accidentally unplugged QBert right at the 36 hour mark.
