Hey guys,
So I'm in the middle of this Q*bert restoration and I'm trying to sort out the parts I have/need. I have NOT been able to find a Q*bert harness BUT I was able to get a KRULL harness. From my understanding they are very similar but I was wondering if anyone knows HOW similar they are?

I've tried looking at the schematics but I can't tell from just them.

Does anyone know if they are compatible?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,. ERIC

I think I know where to get a used harness if you're interested.

Eric,

There is also two parts to the Wiring Harness. One goes from the monitor, power supply etc... to the Filter Board and the other wiring harness goes from the Filter Board to the Sound amp, Game PCB, etc...

I believe i saw one on Quarter Arcade not too long ago,

Shayne...

Hey Shayne,
Yeah, I know about the different parts.
I actually bought a KRULL harness witch is also Mylstar/Gottlieb and is set up almost identically to Q*bert but I have a feeling there has to be some difference and I'd hate to mess something up.
I checked QA regularly to see if anything pops up for Q*bert but no luck thus far.

For posterity sake, I feel obliged to point out this isn't exactly true.

There MAY be 2 parts.

My Q*bert does not have a filter board and consequently it does not have 2 harnesses --- interrupted where the filter board would normally be.

My understanding is that some Q*berts (early?) did not have the filter board.

just sayin'

carry on...

Ah, good to know.

It's actually a good thing you mentioned this. My Q*bert schematics are for the version with NO RF board...I would have been going nuts trying to figure out where that friggin' board was in those schems!!!

At the very least the KRULL harness I bought has 2 parts with the RF board.

This is true, the early machines did not have a filter board. Also the boards are mounted a little differently on the back door.

i have a qbert harness that i was going to alter to reactor. i'd be willing to trade if krull was easier to change to reactor but i doubt that it is. and there's prolly not many people who know the answer to that.

can anybody post a pic of the boards in krull? layout and wiring, just a inside shot of the back door. i want to compare it to qbert/reactor.
