So I got to meet Python Anghelo, whos pinball credits include but are not limited to:

Comet (1985, artwork)
High Speed (1986, backglass artwork)
Grand Lizard (1986, design and artwork)
Pin*Bot (1986, concept, design, and artwork)
Big Guns (1987, design and artwork)
Cyclone (1988, artwork)
Taxi (1988, design and artwork)
Jokerz! (1988, design)
Police Force (1989, artwork)
Bad Cats (1989, artwork)
Bugs Bunny's Birthday Ball (1991, concept and artwork)
The Machine: Bride of Pin*Bot (1991, concept, design, and artwork)
Fish Tales (1992, concept)
Popeye Saves the Earth (1994, concept, design and artwork)
The Pinball Circus (1994, design)
Flipper Football (1996, design)

Python brought some great smoked sausages, plenty of adult beverages were on hand, and we talked about the old times and what he has planned for the future of pinball.
He is a great storyteller and his enthusiasm and passion for these games (and art in general) is unmatched by any human I have ever met.

He told me that he is going to make 1100 of his game "The Pinball Circus" along with another unamed original game that he claims will change the face of pinball forever.
After hearing him speak, I for one have a hard time doubting the man!

very cool! i cant wait to see what he unleashes on us pinheads. imo, pinbot is still one of the best games ever made.

Awesome!! I have one of his games, a Grand Lizard!

Pinball Circus????! No way! There are only 2 of those in existence, one is at the Pinball Hall of Fame in Vegas. Estimated value of $100k. Well unless he makes a 1,000 of them. Would love to get one, its a killer upright pinball machine.

I don't think it will be the *exact* Pinball Circus that we all know. Also, I am pretty sure that the rumor is that JJP's factory will be producing this game. It will not be a JJP game, as the last I heard/read, Planetary Pinball will be involved in the funding. Either way, more exciting times for pinball!! Oh yeah, congrats on meeting a pinball legend and a creative genius! If anyone hasn't yet, check out Pythons Topcast interview with Clay, it is an excellent overview of his career and life, but please read "The Fountainhead" first lol.

Thats just too cool. Love his art. Everywhere you look on Taxi and Pinbot, there are weird and interesting little details.

Pinball circus?

Sounds like some people have already heard about this pinball circus production - spill the beans let's hear what you know!

He told me that the two Pinball Circus that are in existence now are mere shells of the game he envisions...
He wants to do 100 of the ALL OUT BALLS TO THE WALL version for those with the deep pockets, and 1000 of the Pinball Circus as we know it.

Python was at Al's party a couple weeks before the detroit party and we all had a similar experience. Al and I interviewed him for the next Pins and Vids DVD and he brought some venison and sausage.

He really made everyone he talked to feel important. I think Al and I spent about 10 hours with him total. The interview was great too. Not sure there is much to cut in it. Generally we'll film an hour or so and try and get the interview down to the best 20 minutes or so, but this one is about 45 minutes long total so far.

Check out our Pinbot at 75 Shirt that Python drew at Al's party at http://www.pinballshirts.com too if you like Python art. It's a limited edition shirt of only 100 shirts being made.
