Putting together a pinball parts order sucks.

Those are flipper alignment dimples to use as a guide after you've removed and reinstalled a flipper paddle.

Those are the tiny holes right next to the flippers. I don't even see those on POTC. I'm talking about an approx 3/32" single centered hole that is below the flippers, approximately between the ends of the metal rails. It is the exact location a post would go on games that have it.

See picture below. This is the hole I am speaking of. The flipper dimples are right below the trigger on the guns.

....dont tilt it now!

Ah.... loooks like those holes are for a snubber rail wireform.

yes ..yes I have seen this a few years back this machine had no wireform rails so the ball is lost in the far lane as it comes by you hold the flipper up and nudge the machine and the pinball comes up into play, I have seen this on youtube and in person but them wirforms must be removed, likes yours is. I like the post in the middle idea nice little mod to personalize it some. Good luck.....Jeff

5 ball = BORING!

A middle drain post still takes some skill to use. It's not like I'm being like some home use folks and blocking off the outlanes!

First off, you usually can't be sure of everything you will need until you tear the game down. This fact forces you to basically create an order at all of the suppliers, and then pick/choose from whom to get what. Even after all of this, it is almost a 100% guarantee that I will end up forgetting, or later needing a $2 part.

A $2 part that's only available from one place and they have a $25 minimum order.

Why is the 5-ball game boring for? Maybe it's myself as a newbie in owning my first machine, but my opinion is the game last longer for those who never really played any pinball before. I always hated 3-ball in the arcades as the games went quick, 3-ball is more challenging so maybe I just answered my own question...

You WANT the pin to be challenging. If it's too easy and your ball times are to long or games are to long then you'll get tired of the game quicker and feel less satisfied when you accomplish things in the game. 5 ball is almost like cheating the game IMO :)

5 ball games just take too long. I want a single game to on average only last a couple minutes. That way it has a much higher accomplishment factor when you string together a good game. Plus, 5 ball just feel wrong. Just like having 5 lives in pacman feels wrong compared to 3 lives.

And as School House Rocks said - "Threeeeeee is the magic nummmberrrr!"
