So Ive had new sideart for my Revenge from Mars for probably 2 years now, and with Winter approaching I wanted to add this to my to do list, finally.

I did put one piece on last year, the right side for the header - And let me say, putting it on wasnt too bad - It was getting the old off that was a complete pain!

Are there any hints at getting the old art off and then getting all the goo thats left behind off?

Thanks!

Most hack job "shop outs" will just sand and apply the art over the old. Not the best option IMO.

Heat gun, scraper and time.

Sanding the cab down is the time killer, however, so is removing the hardware to apply the art.

Good luck and show pics! KLOV needs it. :D

Thanks ... I just started reading about using a heat gun - I had no plans to go over the old artwork, this is going down to bare (as bare as I can get it) wood.....

A lot of the restorations in the restoration showcase will show pics of doing it (I have several). You can also search on YouTube for some videos on it.

Metahugh video on YouTube

Metahugh is a klov member who has a good video on YouTube showing how to install. Google metahugh and side art.
